We are delighted to have just received planning approval to convert the former Bar 62 building in Ely (or Deane’s as some people may better remember it). The scheme involves the creation of a café to the front with offices to the rear.
The striking front façade has been a landmark in Ely since its construction in 1933 when the Majestic Theatre was originally built. Having fallen into disrepair over many years, our proposals will restore the original windows, copings and stone cills, along with the “M” motif” to the top of the gable. The restored building is to be renamed “Majestic House” .
