“From the very first meeting with Gary, at the house we felt that he completely understood our needs not just for Archie but also for the whole family.  He understood that the family wanted a space in which to interact and gather as a family, to provide the space for the care that Archie needed now and in the future but also to be able to have some independence as the family got older.

Every step of the way he double-checked with us if it would work for us and he understood that every family’s needs are different.

The whole family have settled into their new home and love having their own spaces.  Archies sleep routine has improved and his areas have been well designed for sleeping, therapy and he is enjoying the hot tub.  Something which the whole family are now able to enjoy together.  The other children are now able to have an independent life and can enjoy having their friends stay over without worrying about disturbing Archie.

In our previous home the carers shared space with the family which meant that the family was often resigned to their rooms if the carers needed to stay overnight.  Now with the carers dedicated, well thought out areas when they are looking after Archie or staying overnight this does not impact the family.

Our new home has the space we need, a big driveway to accommodate up to 6 vehicles and still have a good size garden.  The property is detached and setback so we are able to enjoy lots of privacy.

Throughout the whole process we found Gary very easy to communicate with, he was very good at picking up on anything we said and ideas we had and was able to translate them and bring them to life.    If we didn’t have ideas for a certain area then Gary was very good at putting forward suggestions that would work and they always did!  Gary was very open, very clear and we were never worried about telling him if there was something we didn’t quite like.  He always made use feel at ease and he would give as little or as much input as we needed to make a decision.

It was very special to find someone to work with to design our ‘forever home’ as there is nothing more stressful than the pressure of that.
