We’re pleased to share that we’ve secured planning permission for a replacement dwelling. The existing home, while full of character, didn’t quite meet the potential of its beautiful site, prompting us to explore a new design.
Our approach respects the original dwelling’s turret and incorporates subtle art deco elements found elsewhere along the street scene. The new design also makes the most of the long rear garden, creating a harmonious connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.
We encountered a few challenges, such as ensuring the safety of the bats living within the roof space, and securing a balcony for the master bedroom on the narrow site. We are glad to have resolved these in a way that respects both the environment and the privacy of the neighbours.
For our client, who loves cooking, we’ve created a kitchen that serves as the heart of the home. We’re looking forward to moving into the construction phase and bringing their home to life.
